During my first trip to Santorini in the Greek Islands, I was astonished by the pureness of the blue and white domes. Their simple yet sublime spherical shapes reminded me the shape and color of our planet. Five years later, that is in 2017, I decided to go back to make my artistic vision of abstract photography of these domes come true. Framing only pure quadrants of the domes against the sky was more difficult than expected. Streets are very narrow, buildings are dense, trusses extrude from several domes, and they all have a cross on their top. It took me three days to build a very small series.
