When the pandemic happened and we went on lockdown here in the Pacific Northwest, my main photographic scene was Lake Sammamish, with Tiger Mountain in the background. Every morning when there was color in the sky, I would take my coffee and camera to the end of my dock and experiment with Intentional Camera Movement, something that I continue to this day. The technique appeals to me because it strips the scene down to the essentials – shapes, lines, and flowing colors; it makes the world a softer place. This series is a small set of photographs from the end of my dock that I’ve made on different mornings using various ICM techniques.
