Title: Shadow Play Series

About the Photos:

Shadow Play Series

In the early morning silence, from above, the landscape is transformed into a soft canvas of whiteness, with snow erasing details of the landscape below. The wind created flurried textures on the surface, intersected by evidence of human activity and artificial structures. These scars dominate an otherwise serene vista.

Throughout the series of images, the small fox footprints travelling between each photograph tie them together as a story of life in Hokkaido’s deepest winter months.
