What is it about sharp angles and lines that is so appealing? During a visit to the Art Institute of Chicago, I spent more time looking at the ceiling corners than the art. The light, lines, and shadows create their own abstractions. Moving a foot or two in any direction changes my perspective. The strong geometric forms evoke a sense of order, solidity, and groundedness.
