The series “show me some light in a dark night” plays with the viewer on various levels. On the one hand, it traces the contrast between light and dark and makes a bright spot appear on a dark, black surface, which quickly disappears into the darkness again. Associations are awakened, the light offers security, provides a foothold in the black, makes the viewer feel like a secret observer, oppresses and frightens. Each picture tells a story, lets thoughts fly. Without changing anything about the form, an oversized black surface and a little light, completely different moods are created simply through small differences in the image layout, coloring, shadows and the object depicted.
