The shot was taken in my hometown of Calgary, Alberta, it was during an evening where I saw from a distance the light from a streetlamp being consumed by the dark after illuminating a small area. Right away I saw the image I wanted to capture in my minds eye, and as soon as the subject entered the area, I managed to make that shot a reality.
