This series ‘Aqua Blush’ represents the reintroduction of colour into my more recent work. Black and white photography has dominated my work in recent years, which interestingly requires original images to be bright, vibrant and contrasty for good black and white conversion, so I am always thinking in colour and black and white at the same time. It has been a tumultuous last 12 months and this solo photo walk brought back to me a passion for photography that had been constrained inside this turmoil. I feel this set represents my state of mind at the time – focussed, linear, awakening again.
