In Death Valley’s windswept Ibex Dunes, not much survives. I wandered the dunes looking for a composition and found this lone sagebrush struggling for life in a sandy nest. The goal was for the star trails to hug the brush in a curve that was in opposition to the curve of the dunes, so the sky and the sand were protecting this lonely survivor.
