Title: The Milky Way above Provence

About the Photo:

This picture of two photos was taken last summer in a lavender field in Provence, France. The camera was mounted on the tripod on a bright evening, levelled and not moved. I took the first photo at sunset, when the last sunlight was still shining on the small chapel. The second photo was taken about three and a half hours later, when the Milky Way was already at a high altitude. The two photos were edited and merged manually in Photoshop without any help from AI. This technique is also called “time stack”. The finished picture is now one of my favourites from this trip.
