Edge – North Atlantic Ocean isolates fragments of the shoreline through a process of reduction.

Using a medium-format camera, I photograph minimal transitions of sand, water, and light. The images remove context, leaving only subtle shifts — traces of erosion, flow, and sediment.

After exposure, each negative is submerged in seawater collected from the location where the image was made. Salt and minerals interact with the film surface during development, creating delicate variations and marks.

The work does not describe the landscape, but reduces it to its smallest changes. Through restraint and simplicity, these images invite a slower perception of transformation at the edge of land and sea.
