Title:
Cymatiscape
Description
Named after “Cymatics” which refers to the study of sound and vibration; specifically, to when the two are combined in a way that creates complex patterns in different media such as sand, water, or – what Swiss physician Hans Jenny (who coined the term) liked to use – corn starch in water. In this case, the patterns are produced by vibrating a small soy-sauce bowl filled with about 2 cm of isopropyl alcohol.
