This is fundamentally ​an exploration of identity: the leaf, as a natural mask, is not meant to hide completely, but to effect a poetic conversion.

Adorning the mask, the briefly resting flower and the soon-to-evaporate dewdrops are the very embodiment of the ephemeral. They symbolize the temporary nature of emotion, state, and identity.
