This series expresses the relationships and emotions of people living in the modern city through simple lines and wide empty spaces. The figures stand on the same path, yet each walks in a different direction, carrying their own time and emotions.

The line symbolizes both the structure of the city and the path of life, while also representing the tension and emotional distance between people. Some briefly pass each other on the same path, while others move in isolation along different lines.

Through the contrast between wide empty spaces and small human figures, I wanted to portray the loneliness and psychological distance of modern urban life. This work speaks of the paradox of contemporary society, where people are constantly connected, yet struggle to become truly close to one another.
