This series was created during Munich’s Oktoberfest as a quiet response and refusal to its intensity. Amid the noise, movement, and drunken revelry, I became more interested in the temporary structures themselves: the ferris wheel, the free-fall tower, the rhythms they repeated against the night.

Using long exposure and minimal framing, I tried to reduce the chaos and distill the scene into something more essential. The camera turned motion into form, spinning lights into rings and towers into lines.

The decision to work in black and white was not simply aesthetic. It served as a deliberate way to remove the overstimulation of the carnival, to strip away distraction and reduce each image to light, shape, and motion. Without color, the photographs become more symbolic than descriptive. They invite a quieter reading, closer to reflection than reaction.

Each image holds a trace of disorientation, but also a pull toward structure. They reflect a search for stillness within movement, and for clarity in a world that never stops spinning.
