These are so called “dancing trees” that are found just off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sumba. There are fewer then twenty of them and they extend a little beyond the mangrove swamp in this part of the island. Photographing them at dawn and dusk provides a wonderful otherworldly composition. This was taken at sunrise on a wonderful, still morning.
