General Conditions

  • To enter the competition, you must submit your entries to the Competition URL, https://www.MinimalistPhotographyawards.com Participants must also pay the entry fee(s) and complete the submission form in order to be considered for the competition.
  • AI-assisted images are accepted only if they incorporate a real photograph as a fundamental part of the composition. This means entirely computer-generated works are not allowed, but if your piece is a montage where a significant portion is a true photograph and other elements are artificially rendered, it will be accepted. These mixed creations can only be submitted in the Photomanipulation category.
  • All photographers must submit their work online. Digital files are required. Prints are not accepted as part of the competition.
  • There is no limit to the number of individual images each artist may submit.
  • Images may be captured using film, digital, or mobile devices.
  • You may enter your work in as many categories as you wish. However, once the submission fee is paid, you will not be able to edit, change, or add new categories.
  • There is no time or date restriction on when the image was taken.
  • Winning Entrants must be able to provide a high-resolution digital file (minimum 3000px wide @ 300dpi) for inclusion in the Minimalist Photography Awards Annual Book and Exhibition, and to prove ownership. Winning Entrants who do not fulfill these eligibility criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified without the right to appeal.
  • Finalists and winning entrants may be required to upload the original RAW file or an unmodified original JPG file of their submitted image upon request. This requirement is solely for verification purposes, to confirm the authenticity and photographic origin of the work and to ensure that the image is not fully AI-generated. Failure to provide the requested files within the specified timeframe may result in disqualification without the right to appeal.
  • All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrant must be the sole copyright owner of all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries (or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured). Further, the entrant must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
  • The full name of each entrant whose work is selected as a winner or honorable mention will be published online.
  • All winners will have the opportunity to download their certificates by the end of the year from their profile. In the new year, all certificates will be cleared. If you have not received your certificate within the designated time, please contact us by email.
