Taken in 2012, this was my first attempt at using long exposure as a photographer. I wanted to create a different kind of mood on this usually busy bridge spanning the mouth of the Los Penasquitos Lagoon near San Diego. The image was taken early in the morning during high tide so the water was flowing into the lagoon from the ocean. I was lucky enough to have some clouds in the sky to help frame the bridge along with the flowing water. Long exposure also eliminated all cars and pedestrians on the bridge adding to the surrealistic quality of the image.
