This photographic project started and ended during the two-month lockdown here in Greece due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of a basic studio equipment (a strobe flashlight, a softbox and a dark gray background) and being confined into my home most of the day my primary goal was just to somehow entertain myself and be creative mainly by taking photos of plants available to me and not to create a photography series. Nevertheless at some point, rather by exprerimentation than on purpose, that process evolved to the latter – and consequently to the formation of a black and white aesthetic and minimal still life and dead nature photography series.
