Title: Vessel, Islesboro, Maine
I approach camerawork and image-making as a practice: as the application of a system of thought and as a repetitive exercise. This practice creates space for my mind to settle and clear; it allows me to disappear for a while as I work my connection to the landscape. My images are what remain of conversations and interactions with something felt, something hidden, in the natural environment. For me, they are marks and gestures that point to a greater significance. They are that which showed up in my practice.
