This photo was inspired by the slow, yet the romantic decline of the Romagna coast and its touristic facilities. Mass tourism, on which the entire economy of the place relies on, seems outdated. Few are the ‘new’ tourists, compared to the past. The serial repetition of the same tourist offer declined in unoriginal daily experiences and gestures seems no longer to belong to this era. Society itself does not leave room for creativity anymore: stereotypes and standardization (even of thought) permeate every inch of the beach. Sweet life, sweet decadence.
