Having made most of my work while travelling, it was quite a challenge to find a new approach to my photography during the Corona-related lockdowns. Instead of going outside to take pictures I had to stay inside. This has led to the Projections works. To create these works I employed several old projectors and pieces of coloured glass, and started shaping compositions with light on my studio wall, discovering a universe parallel to my preceding imagery. It is within this process that my work has become even more abstract. Contrary to my previous work, these photographs are no deduction from reality. Instead I am shaping conditions within which I find the compositions that I capture with my camera.
