In the endless stream of information and propaganda, a person has no time to think about his own desires. You need to find tremendous strength to resist the uninterrupted working machine of the world. Sometimes blindness from fiction burnishing to a shine is so absurd that a person is not able to notice simple truths but having seen for a moment realizes the fragility of the illusion of choice.
