Title: Mosaics I

About the Photo:

Silence — the sound of autumn. The only things I hear are my breath and raindrops falling from a leaf after the recent drizzle.

I’m in a forest, meandering towards the lake, absorbing the surrounding and opening my senses to nature. My walking boots make no sound on the lush forest undergrowth. The world remains silent. Through the leaves I see the lake; a swan moves slowly in the distance. No sound. I come closer to the water. Ripples gently sweep the lake, touching the plants, disappearing at the shore. Silence. I realise my mind has been floating for a while already. I say hello to the swan, to the reeds and leaves swaying on the water. I smell autumn.

A lone wave made a sound as it touched the shore. Then it’s all silent again.
