This series is of long-exposure photographs of coastal scenes around the UK and the Republic of Ireland. It explores the sense of direction and space created by gradations in light and tonality. In each image, the eye is drawn through the frame towards a point in the distance. The compositions leave plenty of space, allowing room for the eye to wander around the picture and stimulating the imagination to wander around the scene.
