My work is a minimalist and, at times, abstract tribute to the Ligurian village of Varigotti. Once a small fishing village, now more touristy, it exerts on me, and certainly not only on me, a charm and a sort of incredible magic.
Its light, the colored houses, the color of the sea and the sky are different from all the neighboring countries, perhaps due to the seabed, but I don’t think only for that.
I often go to Varigotti for work, I was able to observe it in all seasons and in every light.
Varigotti has been photographically represented in many ways. I tried to do it the way I felt most mine.
I have eliminated almost everything, leaving the heart of my suggestion: colors, shapes, lights and shadows.
