This is Cromwell’s Castle on the island of Tresco, one of the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, UK. It was a still day that lent itself to a long exposure showing the castle facing the neighbouring island of Bryher. I thought that the few elements in the composition as well as the two promontories facing each other, as if they were reaching out, made the composition for me. I also liked the gentle shadow of the castle in the water. This was taken in May this year.
