The Parabita cemetery in Puglia, a southern Italian region, is built entirely of carparo (local stone with an intense yellow colour). The originality of the architecture leaves room for an understood dialogue between matter and light which redraws the perception of surfaces, used to trace continuous passages between fullness and emptiness, between light and shadow, the very metaphor of the passage from life to eternity.
