It’s hard to imagine that the derelict remains of the old West Pier in Brighton, Sussex was once a major tourist attraction. I chose to make a long exposure to smooth the water, giving definition to the skeletal metalwork. Taken at the end of the day, the slightly cool tones give the image a more sombre atmosphere which I felt was appropriate.
