Lençóis Maranhenses is a UNESCO world heritage national park in Brazil. During the rainy season, between the months of January and June, the rainstorms fill the spaces among the dunes with fresh water. The white sand dunes and blue fresh water lagoons reflect the colour of the sky from dawn to dusk.
