The work investigates the dissolution of boundaries between human and animal identity, exploring the concept of \\\”otherness\\\” through a seamless formal fusion. In an era marked by a growing detachment from the natural world, Symbiosis proposes a return to a state of primordial unity: the human face disappears, hidden by the geometric element of the hat, to yield space to the archetypal presence of the greyhound.
The conceptual core lies in the ambiguity of form. Through rigorous composition and subtractive lighting, the two bodies cease to be distinct entities and merge into a single, contemporary mythological creature. The hand—the only point of explicit contact—is no longer a tool of dominance, but a pivot of mutual support and belonging. Rather than documenting a bond, the image stages a silent metamorphosis, inviting the viewer to reflect on how much of the animal resides within the human, and how much of the human is reflected in our silent companions.
