Title:
Where stillness gathers
Description
This body of work is a photographic meditation on the Canadian prairies, grounded in stillness, attention, and a lived relationship to home. The images return again and again to familiar terrain—open fields, modest structures, distant tree lines—allowing time and sustained observation to shape the work.
The photographs distill the landscape to its essential elements: broad horizons, softened light, and expansive negative space that invites pause. Subtle traces of human presence—fences, posts, weathered buildings—register quietly within the vastness, anchoring the land without disrupting its calm. These images inhabit a space between breath and silence, where motion slows and noise recedes.
