Title:
wounds of time
Description
The diptych features two photographs of a crack in a wall. One image shows the crack itself, while the other depicts a human attempt to seal it with adhesive tape. To me, this reveals a rich symbolism of how humans deal with vulnerability, decay, and loss of control.
In a world shaped by the consequences of climate change like earth quakes and other catastrophes, which are leading to increasing instability in the ecological balance, the damage can no longer be repaired—even through human effort. The makeshift repair points to humanity’s limitations; the cause remains, and the crack remains visible.
