During my travels, I always look for minimalist or abstract subjects. I came across this group of kayaks in Halong Bay, Vietnam, in 2024. This photo shows a group of blue and yellow kayaks tied together. From above, however, they form the shape of a feather. The calm water creates a simple, quiet background that lets the clean lines and bright colors of the boats stand out. I was immediately drawn to the beauty of the boats and their accidental minimalist composition.
