Context: I have always had a fascination for groynes, not only for their satisfactory geometry, but aldo for their mysterious isolated positions. They stand so still and appear mundane, yet hold such purpose for coastal protection and conservation. I like to photograph them for that very reason, to reignite thier significant purpose and existence.
