Mountain ranges cut by stream valleys. Wild, inaccessible slopes. Everything covered in powdery fresh snow and shrouded in fog. Limited palette of colours. Coldness that enveloped everything around. Silence. Only gentle gusts of frosty wind. Trees in endless quantities, growing on ridges. Crowns covered with snow and frost to varying degrees, depending on the species and location. I felt this atmosphere when photographing my beloved mountains, which, although low and not having too many spectacular rocks, have a unique spirit. In order to find such conditions that allowed me to capture it fully in photographs, I had to make many escapades. Although not all of them were sufficiently satisfactory in terms of photography, it was worth it. In the end, however, I hope that the person viewing these selected photographs will be able to feel this atmosphere of the wild, mysterious Carpathians.
